    Electrical engineering technology (EET)

    The applied side of electrical engineering — circuits, controls, and instrumentation. Programs typically run 2 years for an associate track.

    EET graduates build, test, and troubleshoot the electrical and electronic systems that engineers design. You work with circuits, controls, instrumentation, and increasingly with automation — bridging the gap between the design on paper and the equipment on the floor.

    A typical day

    • Test and troubleshoot circuits and control systems
    • Support prototype builds and validation testing
    • Calibrate instrumentation and record results
    • Read schematics and revise documentation
    • Work with engineers to resolve field failures
